This past weekend I spent a little time doing an outdoor fall activity that is known as the corn field and the pumpkin patch. I ventured out of the city to Ressor's Farm Market and perused the pumpkin patch for a few gourd-geous gems to glamify. Carving pumpkins has always been a fun Halloween tradition but I think it may be time for a little upgrade. After all, change is always a good idea. The Jack-o -Lantern, in my opinion, is due for a little shake up and razzle dazzle update. Enter the Glampkin. No slime and no sore hands. All you need are a few crafting supplies and a little imagination. Inspired by my cousin's artistic Chalkboard empire and her recent Thanksgiving pumpkin vase post on Instagram (seriously, check her out, follow her & hire her she creates amazing pieces) I decided to paint a couple of my own for a series I like to call 'Halloween at Tiffany's'.
- Acrylic paint & brushes
- Glitter, pompoms, buttons etc.
- Hot glue
This part really doesn't come with much direction. The sky is the limit. Paint your base and then add as much or as little as you want of all the crafty extras. Pick a theme or create a character. they can be as ghoulish or glamorous as you want. Show them off on the front porch or use as a decorative centerpiece on your Halloween hall table.
