Follow your Frequency
We all have a frequency. An energy than runs through our being. A current that carries us through our life cycle, connects our souls and determines our path. With every breath this vibration directs us to he next one, and the next one, and the next.
I think the easy thing for us to do on the mortal plane with all the chaos, noise, distractions and opinions is to doubt that direction. We fight our own flow. We doubt it because it may not be what is expected of us, what we have been conditioned for or taught growing up. All of these expectations and attachments we’ve been given were all well intentioned, however, somewhere along the way the message was lost and in the end they do not serve our highest selves. Someone outside of your frequency cannot know what is best suited for you. The same way we cannot truly know what is best suited for our children, our partner or our peers. Our responsibility is to be open so that we can listen and feel what our own next right action is to be. In other words, our responsibility is to tend to our side of the garden.
How do we know if we are following our right frequency? How do we know when we are in the flow? After all, the right turn could very well show up as a bad boss, the jealous friend or the wrong boyfriend just as it can be the right job, the best friend, the great love. The commonality is that they all contribute to growth. Positive & negative. Our frequency will carry us to the events, people and things that we need that will ultimately help us to grow. This is all for the evolution of our lives and our souls’ purpose in this body. Our authentic action and power lies in the distinction between resting in the resistance or being in the flow. That’s how we know. Does it feel heavy, sticky and slow? Or is it light, welcoming and free. Often the resistance translates into a physical reaction in the body. We may all experience it differently. I get a collapsing feeling over my heart, almost like a shortness of breath and my throat tightens. The throat & the heart being the chakras linked to our truth and authenticity. When I feel those feelings I know they are warning signs from my soul saying “Wrong way! Recalculating!!” In those moments I am now aware enough to take a step back and stop. “Ok” I say. “I hear you. I feel you. Please guide me on the right course for right now.” Of course I have several times veered off course because I was doing what I thought I should do or was being told to do and I wasn’t yet in tune with my own frequency.
Do we just wake up one day, feel our frequency and never again get off track? I don’t think that’s how it works. I do believe it is a daily, if not minute by minute, practice on awareness and tapping into our own truth. The best any of us can do is step into our authenticity and own who we are at the center of our being with the intention of living a life that feels best for us in each moment. This, is what I have learned so far and know with every breath to be true.
